AGB Search assists Morris Brown College in recruiting new rector
July 15, 2021 – As the pandemic begins to subside in the United States and organizations collectively begin to recover, colleges and universities across the country are opening up research that, if all goes according to plan, will allow high-level leaders to take on a new era of fundraising, digitization, sport and, increasingly, globalization, not to mention a pandemic and post-pandemic era. A national recruitment agency, AGB Search, has become a magnet for such assignments. Most recently, the Washington, DC-based recruiter appointed Anthony B. Johnson as the new president and senior vice president of academic affairs at Morris Brown College in Atlanta. Consultant Gwendolyn E. Boyd led the mission.
“As we continue to work on the hard reset, we are delighted to have Dr. Johnson,” said Kevin James, president of Morris Brown College. “He has extensive experience leading historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) through accreditation, student advancement, governance, fiscal stability, and academic affairs. I welcome him to my leadership team to bring the academic department of Morris Brown College and its programs to the next level in our history.
