THE Bellingen Handicraft Market joins the Farmers’ Market for the second time this year on Saturday 4 December, from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm, at the Bellingen Showground.

The market will present more than 80 talented and diverse artisans and producers in a relaxed family environment.

There will be very cool food, coffee, drink and live music from the Shufflemen.

Organizers say the day will be filled with creativity, activities and plenty of opportunities to purchase unique Christmas gifts.

Customers can choose from ceramics, clothing, woodwork, ironwork, plants, jewelry, weavings, stained glass and paintings, drawings and prints by talented craftsmen.

There is also a fabulous mosaic workshop with Fi Morgan.

Workshop reservations are essential and can be done by e-mail [email protected].

All are welcome and encouraged to join us and celebrate all good things; people, art, music, food, making, baking, shaking, growing and flourishing.

The Farmers’ Market is classified as a must-see market, so it is open to unvaccinated people.

However, the Craft Market, which will be at the north end of the fairgrounds, is considered non-essential, so only fully vaccinated people can attend (and proof of vaccination will be required to enter).

The organizers thank in advance all those present for their understanding, support and cooperation with the sanitary requirements.

Kaz Selbie, the market manager, said that because other markets were not functioning, the farmers’ market had grown.

Ms. Selbie said: “People realize the importance of local organic food and supporting local producers.

“For our well-being, we have to go out and socialize, and the markets are a perfect opportunity.”
