Dainese agrees to develop Momodesign brand clothing and helmets

Italian Momodesign is known for its fashionable gear, helmets, boots, bags and goggles. Thanks to a classic yet relaxed aesthetic, bikers, scooters and urban cyclists flock to the stylish brand.

Dainese is fashionable in its own right, but the iconic Italian gear manufacturer combines its sophisticated design with today’s latest innovations. Now, a new partnership will leverage Dainese’s advanced technologies and materials to complement Momodesign’s contemporary and cosmopolitan styling for a range of Momodesign-branded apparel, footwear, helmets and accessories.

“Dainese and Momodesign share a common goal: to spread Italian design and quality all over the world, offering support among the challenges of modern urban mobility”, acknowledged Cristiano Silei, CEO of the Dainese Group. “I very much welcome the partnership with this prestigious brand and I am sure that our brands, united by common values, will further enrich the offer we offer our customers.

Founded in 1981, Momodesign operated as a styling business before moving into lifestyle and motorcycle gear. The brand’s digital presence favors offline and online distribution with a dedicated e-commerce channel.

Under the latest agreement, Momodesign will design each piece at the company’s styling center, with Dainese engineering and product manufacturing. The collection will be available in Dainese stores worldwide and online, expanding the distribution and recognition of the Momodesign brand.

“Innovation and style have always supported Momodesign’s strategy,” said Paolo Cattaneo, General Manager of Momodesign. “We are proud to be able to collaborate with Dainese, a leading global company that will be able to add even more value to our identity with the development of the brand internationally. I have always had a clear vision of our brand and its unique DNA. From now on, this collaboration will allow Momodesign to express its full potential.

2022 has been an eventful year for Dainese so far. Global investment firm Carlyle Group acquired Dainese Group (including AGV and TCX) in March. Despite the recent takeover, Dainese continues to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2022. The new strategic alliance with Momodesign is just the latest initiative from the Italian gear manufacturer, and we look forward to seeing the collection jointly developed soon.
