Hometown Apparel moves to Main Street

CHILLICOTHE— Hometown Apparel and Screen Printing has opened in its new location on Main Street.

Hometown Apparel opened its doors six years ago in Chillicothe. The company creates custom clothing using screen printing, embroidery and more.

Owner Ben Thompson said he wanted to move from his old location at 2055 N Bridge St. to 30 Main St. to have more space for his growing business.

“Six years ago when I opened this storefront it was the perfect place, it had everything we needed,” Thompson said. “But as you know when you walk in here now, we’ve just outgrown this space.”

The new location will provide more space for inventory and production, which will help the company do more in-house fulfillment. Thompson said he also wanted a space closer to downtown.

“I love the vibe downtown…it’s a great shopping district. Lots of people, lots of traffic and all the good stuff going on there,” Thompson said. “I just wanted to get closer to it.”

Thompson said her new location on Main Street will offer old favorites like screen printing and embroidery services, as well as more high school apparel with premium brands like Nike, Adidas and Champion.

The Main Street store is open today, but a grand grand opening will take place in the coming weeks.
