New Companies 2022
You could say that rapid inflation, soaring oil prices, global instability, and persistent supply shortages create an economic climate that is not conducive to opening a new business.
You might also be optimistic about opening a new business pointing to the thousands of jobs being added in the United States, high rates of consumer spending, increased business investment, and rising wages to a rhythm not seen for decades.
When a new business owner decides to land, that coin-flip is likely based on more than earnings, market sentiment, and economic climates. These are important, but I’ve noticed Door County business owners have an abundance of attitude, passion, persistence, and vision. I would bet on the success rate of these qualities without question.
Every year at this time we present to you the new businesses that have opened across the peninsula. Some of them are large companies expanding their niche markets or well-capitalized companies capable of improving premium entertainment services and options. The majority of those listed here are small businesses that have taken the plunge and created their own dream job since the previous May.
We also feature a few from this list to give you an idea of what to expect. You’ll find four such stories in our May 20-27 article. Pulse Peninsulaand also posted throughout the week on www.doorcountypulse.com.
The ones we’ve selected to profile are an eclectic lot. Perhaps you would find their equal in an urban area. That they choose this rural peninsula instead is just one of the many things that makes Door County the unique and special place that it is.
