MAAP x PAM Cycling Kit, Apparel Capsule Collab

Mark: PAM x MAAP

Key pieces: The Italian-made cycling kit, loaded with PAM’s iconic trippy graphics is a must have. Bonus: Catching the set at one of the PAM or MAAP stores will guarantee you an accompanying 44-page zine, for free.

Editor’s Notes: A little fresh air will not prevent PAM from playing outside. The Paris-based brand maintains its roots in its native Australia, which is currently going through the winter season. Since the Australian winter is not too bad, there is no reason to stop exploring the outback. Melbourne-based cycling company MAAP turned to PAM to design stylish looks for adventurous bikers looking to tackle the road or the mountain.

Luckily for fans of the brand, PAM brings their sense of graphic whimsy to the table, polishing a selection of hats, tops, t-shirts and shorts with a psychedelic twist. The oversized branding mixes with florals and illustrative lines rendered in reflective textiles to ensure off-road safety.

“It was a very organic moment,” said Misha Hollenbach, co-founder of PAM, in a statement of the collaborative process. “It was very natural and easy, and very exciting at the same time. It’s assertive and super exciting when things like that happen.”

“We wanted to bring a different perspective to cycling,” continued Misha Glisovic, Creative Director of MAAP. “As the sport evolves and grows, for us it’s about showing people that there is an option and just providing more people with access to the sport. that it’s more inclusive. And with a background in clothing design and streetwear, I’ve always wanted to bring MAAP even closer to what we wear off the bike and merge those two worlds. “

More collaborative drops are on the way, as PAM and MAAP aim to embody the easy style when driving or just relaxing. Indeed, now is the right time to be in the avant-garde kit market, as bicycle brands are more and more interested in fashion and the cycling style becomes more and more attractive for general consumption.
