WINDSOR — The Bertie County Public Library will hold its registration week for its summer events during regular business hours.

The library is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the last two days to register are Thursday June 2 and Friday June 3.

WINDSOR — There will be a free giveaway from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, June 3 at Potter’s House Baptist Church.

The gift included clothes, shoes, tableware and other items.

Plus, there will be free Cokes and sandwiches, as well as time to socialize.

The church is accepting clothing, shoes, dishes, toys, bikes, chairs and other items for donation at this time.

The church is located at 841 US 13 North in Windsor.

Painting lessons for children

WINDSOR — The Bertie County Public Library will host a children’s painting class for children age seven or older at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, June 6.

Registration for this course is compulsory.

Community fun day for family and friends

RICH SQUARE – The Choanoke Area Development Association of NC, Inc. is hosting a Community Fun Day for family and friends from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 11 at the Sallie Surface Complex.

There will be a live DJ, entertainment, food, community booths, vendors, prizes and more.

Sallie’s surface complex is located at 120 Sessoms Drive in Rich Square.

WINDSOR — The Bertie County Public Library will host the Rainbow Puppet Show at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 14.

RICH SQUARE — The Choanoke Public Transportation Authority Board of Directors will hold its regularly scheduled meeting at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15.

The meeting will be by electronic communications.

Any public comments must be submitted by 4 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14.

WINDSOR – The Bertie County Public Library will host an Ocean STEM activity day beginning at 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 16.

ELIZABETH CITY – The Albemarle Museum will host a Junior Docent workshop from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 17.

The workshop is aimed at young people aged 13 to 17.

The workshop is free and lunch is included.
