Project New York trade show moves; Strengthens the Retail Team – Supply Log

Project New York moves to a new location for its return to physical events.

The men’s trade show hosted by Informa Markets is moving from the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center to Iron 23, an event space in the City’s Flatiron district. Returning January 26-27, 2022, the event will coincide with the start of Men’s Market Week in New York City.

Described as an “intimate environment,” Project New York will feature an edited assortment of national and international menswear brands presenting collections for the upcoming and immediate seasons. The clothing, footwear and accessories categories will include advanced contemporary and emerging designers, handcrafted workwear and denim, new-age couture wear, high street wear, and native digital brands.

“By prioritizing the community with a two-day event, we are emphasizing unity and creating an open source environment prepared for an explosion of new ideas and information sharing, organic reconnection and a bigger discovery, ”said Brian Trunzo, Informa Male Vice President of Markets Fashion.

To strengthen its connection with the retail community, Informa recently appointed Mordechai Rubinstein to lead retailer relations efforts for the men’s wallet. With previous positions held at Levi’s, Kate Spade, Marc Jacobs and Men’s Vogue, his industry connections and expertise in men’s clothing will further drive the development of high value programs and initiatives for Project.

“Mordechai’s level of expertise and understanding of the nuanced needs of the menswear market is unmatched,” said Trunzo. “He is a great addition to the consultative and collaborative approach of the project team; by providing more personalized white glove services that more effectively connect retailers and brands, but also by encouraging and further developing the project community. “

Hopes are high for more in-person events in 2022. Project Las Vegas, the group’s contemporary event for women and men, is scheduled to take place at the Las Vegas Convention Center from February 14-16 and August 8-10. The Tokyo project will take place from March 16 to 17.
