Puma x Bratz shoe collection is Y2K worthy with pink and purple – Footwear News
Bratz and Puma have joined forces for a collection of trendy footwear.
The new collaborator of the athletic brand is none other than Bratz, the glamorous doll from the early 2000s with a passion for fashion. The brand is the latest to add an elegant and colorful touch to iconic Puma shoes. True to form, the three-piece women’s collection features a range of shades of pink and purple – with sleek black and white accents, for good measure.
The recently released Mayze platform sneaker from Puma gets a Bratz redux from an ombre purple color palette, as well as the Bratz “B” logo surrounded by a halo print on its heel buttresses and tongues. The shoes are punctuated with Puma’s basic curved accent in sharp white leather, as well as black laces. However, the most glamorous element is the pair’s nameplates at the base of each tongue clip, indicating “Bratz” in sparkling crystals.
Another signature Puma revamped by Bratz is the Leadcat slide, one of the brand’s most popular styles. The slides are redone with degraded soles that fade from purple to pink, with wide toe straps covered in shiny black vinyl. Each bracelet is embossed with a logo – that of Puma on the left, that of Bratz on the right – to symbolize the union of the two brands.
Finally, the RS-Curve sneakers add a splash of vibrant color to the trio, in plenty of punchy shades of pinks and purples. The chunky lace-up style features black laces accented at their base with a crystal-covered Bratz nameplate, as well as black ridged soles. One of the biggest statements of this pair is their see-through purple Formstrip strip down the center of each tongue, printed with pink Puma logos. The style is also available in a range of girls’ sizes, allowing you to match your child’s shoes if you like.
This glamorous capsule collection isn’t limited to sneakers, however. It also includes a link to the Bratz mobile game app, Bratz Total Fashion Makeover. Puma’s collaboration will also be available in-game, allowing players to match their avatars of branded characters Cloe, Yasmin, Jade, and Sasha while solving puzzles to become fashion icons. It also allows gamers and their children opportunity to match their shoe styles with real-life fictional characters.
All three women’s shoes will be available on footlocker.com on August 12, for between $ 40 and $ 110. The kids’ version of the RS-Curve sneaker costs $ 85.
The new collection of the sports brand follows its recent track record of nostalgic capsule lines with Kool-Aid, Rugrats and Haribo.
